Google Streets

Google has become an icon of the information revolution. They know everything and see everything.

Here is a photo from Google Streets captured from Madrid, Spain before it was taken down.

I can’t believe it’s not Honest.

Blog backlog. Not it was not another Honest weekend. So a bunch of us decided to go out the day after Halloween. Not to a club because waiting in line outside in the cold for 45 minutes and paying “Halloween” cover was not our ideal outing. (sorry, I have no nurse or school girl outfits to educe a bouncer). Not to a bar because that’s always the default for any occasion.

A place that’s one part club and one part bar. Yes, we call that a lounge. Alleycatz is a big hit hidden between Yonge and Eglinton, half the drive to downtown. Ten dollar cover on the weekends with drink prices comparable to Maddys. There was a live band and a DJ spinning top40 hits. The crowd there was a bit more mature but not “cougar” status (Nava/Bricks).

Definitely try it out. The cool people do it.

The next Willam Hung?

Remember when American Idol was popular and there was that famous Asian contestant William Hung? Well I have a video that can beat that. (The ending is funny too.)

Halloween

TNA Parade. The one day a year where women can wear whatever they choose and be understood as a 'festive' participant. From school girl to Playboy bunny, its all a big excuse to dress up/down. No complaints here.

There's a lot of hype this year with having Halloween on a Friday. Too many activities at once. Night clubs were cutting guest list as early as 10pm and the average cover was $15. Not as ridiculous as New Year's Eve, but second.

Last year, I attempted to hit a club but after 45 minutes of waiting in line outside in the cold, I gave up. I felt sorry for those girls waiting in the same line wearing skimpy 'costume' outfits without a jacket.

Anyways...
I ended up carving a pumpkin with Cindy and handing out candies. Only less than 10 children showed up. I think my neighborhood is getting old. After that, I watched The Mummy Returns and played Guitar Hero: World Tour on Halloween night. Best time ever. (I still suck at drums).

Here's what I did at work on the Halloween Friday.

As of today.. there's only ONE seat left on my direct flight to HK. I hope it oversells! I'm prepared to be compensated by Air Canada!

Guitar Hero 4: World Tour

Yes, it’s finally here and I’m going to line-up Sunday morning for it. Guitar Hero 4 is much like Rock Band with mic and drum set… but better. Reasons why I’m buying this.

  • Eagles – Hotel California!!!!
  • Michael Jackson – Beat It
  • Bon Jovi – Livin’ on a Prayer
  • Velocity sensitive drum set. (the harder you hit the drum, the louder the sound).
  • Drum set includes two symbols.
And more awesome songs

MSRP expected at $200 for the special edition. Prices should skyrocket for the holiday season.

Parking Ticket #2

I drove down to Maddy's last night for a round of drinks with Tal and Julian. They were flying out the next morning to work in the US-of A. Moving right along, I drove to Maddy's two years ago and got a ticket for parking on Madison Avenue after midnight. Those lame parking enforcement agents issued my ticket at 12:18am! A $30 fine.

This time, I was proactive and decided to move the car at ~11pm. I walked down to my car and there it was, another ticket. I checked the ticket and the street signs. Apparently they changed from two years ago. Parking is not permitted unless by permit after 10pm! Another $30 fine.

I've only been to Maddy's 3 times. Of those times, I drove twice and got a parking ticket twice.

Now from the advise from my legal council (Cindy, Brigitte), I have decided to challenge this in court in hopes that a court date will not be set and the ticket thrown.

Governor Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin was on SNL last night. Not too funny, too much hype. Check it out yourself.
